FAR CRY (The Movie) in Stores November 23!

Jack Carver (Til Schweiger), a retired special forces officer, escorts star journalist, Valerie (Emmanuelle Vaugier), on the trail of a story on a mysterious island off the Pacific Northwest. Upon docking, they are attacked and pursued by a squad of mercenaries employed by scientist, Dr. Krieger (Udo Kier). In their attempt to escape, they uncover Dr. Krieger’s secret lab and unleash the genetically engineered beasts that he’s created.

This story follows an agitated fast-food employee, Joe, who has reached his breaking point from being harassed and tormented by his boss. Finally on the last day of summer, Joe snaps and decides to take revenge, but his plans are disrupted when a quick glance from a beautiful girl catches his attention, leading him to kidnap her instead, changing both their lives forever.

Vivendi takes rights to Palisades Tartan Titles.

Vivendi Entertainment has acquired the U.S. home video, digital and mobile rights to Palisades Tartan's catalog, marking the first time the library will be available digitally to US audiences. Asia Extreme highlights horror, thriller and action films from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and all of Asia, including Park Chan-wook's "Old Boy." The deal was negotiated by Yolanda Macias, senior vp business and development at Vivendi Entertainment, and Kevin Burns, CEO of Palisades Tartan.
Shine Advertising will get the first three dvd titles "The Butcher", "Princess" and "Silent Night".

"FarCry" Game-to-Film Coming to DVD this fall!

An adaptation of the first-person-shooter video game where Jack Carver, a retired Special Forces Officer who now is transport for hire, by people and cargo. On one particular trip Jack ferries a photographer 'Val' who wants to photograph old Japanese WW2 bases on some of the Micronesian islands. He goes through hell when his boat is attacked and destroyed by an unknown party while Val is away. Surviving by the skin of his teeth, he must now find Val and uncover what is truly happening on these dark and mysterious islands.
